Breitling’s first ever “traceable” watch

Breitling’s new diamond-studded chronomat is its first ever traceable watch, reports The Robb Report.

Brietling’s “traceable” watch means that owners are encouraged to actively engage with information about the origins of the raw materials used to create the watches.

The watch brand sources it’s gold responsibly from a mine which meets the Swiss Better Gold’s Association criteria, as part of its project to introduce end-to-end traceability. Breitling aims to achieve 100% traceability to such mines with all of its gold by 2025.

“Breitling is on a mission to create beautiful products and experiences with better materials and better manufacturing. Our roadmap begins here with the proof-of-concept Super Chronomat Origins” says Georges Kern, CEO of Breitling, in a statement.
