Carolina Herrera makes a splash with La Bomba fragrance

Carolina Herrera’s new fragrance pillar La Bomba comes in a jewel-like butterfly-shaped bottle that is the work of French glassmaker Pochet du Courval.

Spanish group Puig has introduced a new fragrance for fashion brand Carolina Herrera. “The House’s most significant fragrance launch since 2016,” Puig noted in a Linkedin post.

La Bomba comes in a jewel-like bottle in the shape of a butterfly. Produced using glassmaker Pochet du Courval’s SEVA3 grade that contains 15% recycled glass, the flacon’s asymmetric form, with its tall, offset wings, was tricky to produce. “Its complex geometry presented a real technical challenge, particularly in achieving uniform thicknesses while maintaining the finesse and precision of the shapes,” Pochet du Courval explained on social media. The bottle is decorated with a fuchsia lacquering, while the cap, inspired by a rose quartz stone, is engraved with the brand name.
