Veuve Clicquot x Jacquemus: champagne meets couture

LVMH-owned champagne brand Veuve Clicquot has teamed up with French fashion designer Simon Porte Jacquemus for a limited edition of its La Grande Dame 2018 prestige cuvée. The packaging includes a bottle wrapped in white linen.

After having worked with artists including Yayoi Kusama and Paola Peronetti for its La Grande Dame champagne, Veuve Clicquot called on Simon Porte Jacquemus for its latest collaboration. The fashion designer brought his signature touch to the maison’s prestige cuvée La Grande Dame 2018, whose blend is composed of 90% Pinot Noir grapes.

The bottle is wrapped in white linen embroidered with yellow calligraphy. It references an ancient Italian cooling method, where linen is soaked in water and wrapped around the bottle to maintain its freshness. On the bottle itself, Porte Jacquemus’ signature features on the label with jagged edges in the brand’s iconic yellow hue. A ribbon at the neck of the bottle is alternately printed with Jacquemus’ signature and the Veuve Clicquot logo.
