Dior calls on Madina Visconti for bejeweled limited-edition J’adore fragrance packaging

For an exceptional edition of Dior’s J’adore Intense, the Italian high jewelry designer has created a floral cap where a trail of flowers cascades onto the flacon.

Dior’s new limited edition of J’adore Intense joins the LVMH-owned brand’s exceptional pieces collection that puts craftsmanship in the spotlight. For this release, Milan-based designer Madina Visconti—known for her nature-inspired jewelry designs—created a colorful floral piece to elevate the fragrance packaging.

The artisanal lost-wax casting technique is used to create Visconti’s signature Panzè flowers, which are dipped in 24-carat liquid gold and hand-polished. Resin in gold, pink and orange hues embellish the adornment, which cascades from the glass “pearl” atop the flacon down to the neck of the 200ml bottle. The Dior logo in gold lettering sits on top of the flowers, along with the brand’s signature star. Given that the glass “pearl” and the adornment are a single piece, the flowers accompany the movement as the coiffe is removed to access the glass stopper. The bottle, glass pearl and stopper are produced by glassmaker Waltersperger.
