Gloss & Green® – Metallic effects on cartonboard without permanent plastic film
Gloss & Green® (Trans-Met) creates premium metallic effects on cartonboard without leaving a permanent plastic film. The cartonboard remains paper-based and can be sent for paper recycling.
Gloss & Green® uses a transfer film to create a metallic surface. Unlike conventional film lamination, the film is separated from the cartonboard again during production and does not remain part of the finished packaging.
This results in metallised cartonboard with a clearly defined material structure. The separated film is processed into plastic granules and reused as a raw material.
For brands in the spirits, cosmetics and food sectors, Gloss & Green® offers an additional way to combine premium packaging design with a paper-based material structure. Communication can focus on specific, verifiable characteristics of the material and production process rather than general environmental claims.
