Pernod Ricard to buy majority stake in Código 1530

French firm and leading spirits business, Pernod Ricard, has announced its agreement to buy majority stake in Código 1530 Tequila. This acquisition will expand and enrich Pernod Ricard’s agave spirits portfolio, reports The Spirits Business.

Código 1530 is an ultra-premium range of Tequila founded by Ron Snyder, Federico Vaughan and George Strait in 2016. The agreement between the two companies is set to see Pernod Ricard’s Tequila range expand, diversify and build upon its existing range which includes Olmeca, Altos and Avión.
