Spirits of the year competition 2022 Cavistes & e-commerce

The only competition where wine merchants vote! Last year, Cavistes & e-commerce magazine created a competition that rewards the spirits and aperitif launches of the year based on innovation, but also on the suitability of the offer for the specialist retailer channel in terms of the communication mix/price positioning/product qualities.

The awards allow local shops with real expertise in the products they offer, particularly for “pleasure” purchases or professional gifts, to discover the year’s launches. The awards, which will be presented on 13 February at the Wine Paris – Vinexpo Paris event, will therefore reflect their knowledge of consumer expectations.

Spirits and aperitifs brands can compete for awards in the following categories:

  • Whisky
  • Rum
  • Gin
  • Other white spirits (tequila, pisco, grappa, vodka…)
  • Other brown spirits (armagnac, brandy, calvados, cognac…)
  • Liqueur, cream and arranged spirits
  • Aperitifs (pastis, vermouth, bitters, ready-to-drink cocktails…)
  • Non-alcoholic

The participation gives entrants the possibility to win a bottle for every winning spirit (10 bottles for the draw winner).

A specially created website allows all the brands to present their new products and for specialist retailers to discover or rediscover them.

Dates to remember:

  • 31 December 2022: deadline for submitting entries
  • 2 to 31 January 2023: online pre-selection
  • 1 February: jury deliberation
  • 13 February 2023: awards ceremony and cocktail party at Wine Paris – Vinexpo Paris
