The inspiration behind French aperitif brand Bellamie’s packaging design
With the launch of Bellamie, entrepreneur Marie Voirin is aiming for a new take on a traditional French liqueur. The packaging was dreamed up by design agency Glasfurd & Walker.
After a six-year career in the wine and spirits industry, including at Moët Hennessy and William Grant & Sons, Marie Voirin, a UK-based entrepreneur with French roots, has launched her own brand, Bellamie.
The cherry liqueur aperitif is positioned as a “contemporary take” on Guignolet, a traditional French liqueur. Unlike many aperitifs on the market, explains Voirin, Bellamie is made with only real fruits and natural ingredients. The famed Montmorency sour cherry is a star ingredient in the recipe, which involves macerating and blending cherries, sugar, cherry blossom, cognac, and roasted cherry and apricot stones.
