Ayala promises eco-designed packaging that retains the transparency of glass

Ayala has stated its objective of reducing the weight of the millions of bottles it sells each year and increasing the use of recycled glass.

Despite the potential disadvantages of clear bottles, such as the risk of deterioration due to exposure to light, Ayala Champagne is maintaining its choice of packaging. Clear bottles remain a strong aesthetic symbol of the luxury labels’ excellence. That’s why the Aÿ champagne house is still using them for its 2018 vintage of Côte des Blancs Chardonnay blend.

“All our bottles are stored in a dark place and shipped using recycled tissue paper in eco-designed packaging”, explains Ayala’s Managing Director, Hadrien Moufflard.
