Press release | Paris Packaging Week 2024 to be bigger and better as organisers promise “best visitor experience yet”

New app and new conferences are among improvements that will help attendees at ADF, PCD, PLD and Packaging Première to source, learn and innovate better than ever before.

Paris, 08/11/2023: Paris Packaging Week, the premier live event for the beauty, luxury, premium drinks, and aerosol packaging markets, has revealed a range of new initiatives that will improve the visitor experience and enhance its reputation as the go-to event for sourcing, learning and innovation. The four events at Paris Packaging Week – ADF for the aerosol and dispensing market, PCD for the beauty and personal care sector, PLD for the premium drinks market and Packaging Première for the luxury market – will open on 17 & 18 January 2024, offering a record number of exhibitors and a real vision of the future of packaging in those sectors. Navigation and planning is key to a successful visit and, new for 2024, visitors will be able to use a show app that includes GPS technology to help navigate the event, a messaging function to make networking at the show easier, and an AI-powered tool that recommends relevant exhibitors and events to visitors based on their preferences. The app will feature a full list of talks, debates, and other forums that visitors can take in at the show across an overhauled lineup of conference theatres. The theatres now focus on packaging themes across markets, bringing a new opportunity for packaging designers and specifiers to learn from the experiences of peers both in their own markets and in related markets. They comprise:
  • The Circular Economy Stage, covering the key innovations and regulations around packaging sustainability;
  • The Future Innovation Forum, focused on future opportunities in packaging design, materials, formats and new innovation strategies;
  • The Global Aerosol & Dispensing Forum, bringing together the key opinion leaders, regulators and innovators in the aerosol and dispensing market; and
  • The Pentawards Design Stage, hosted by the world’s leading packaging design competition the Pentawards, and covering the key new design and consumer trends.
“We want to create the ideal environment for our community to collaborate, do business, learn and be inspired, all to create the next generation of innovative packaging,” said Josh Brooks, Event Director of Paris Packaging Week. “We have listened carefully to our community’s feedback on previous editions and believe that these new initiatives will make a visit to Paris Packaging Week a great experience and more effective than ever before.” Other updates to the event include more power points in the VIP and Chill Lounge areas that enable visitors to work and network more effectively at the show, as well as boosted seating capacity, and improved signage to make show navigation easier. “We are determined to provide the best visitor experience yet at the Paris Packaging Week show,” added Brooks. “It will be easier than ever before for packaging designers and specifiers to navigate the event and find the suppliers, products, knowledge, and inspiration they need to make their next packaging project their most exciting yet.” The new additions come alongside established favourites of the Paris Packaging Week show floor, including lounge areas, champagne and cocktail bars, award galleries, and some of the biggest and most exciting names from the world of beauty, luxury, premium drinks, and aerosols. Anticipation for the show was further increased after Paris Packaging Week won two prestigious events industry awards – Best International Trade Show at the EN Awards, and Best International Show – Europe at the AEO Excellence Awards. Registration for visitors is free and open now at parispackagingweek.com. Paris Packaging Week takes place on 17 & 18 January 2024 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
